1.5 million fires can tell you a lot about fire risk.
That’s why we’ve created our first annual Little Book of Fires, leveraging data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS). The NFIRS is a data set of fire events reported by 82% of fire departments across the U.S. We’ve studied 10+ years of data on residential and commercial fires to improve the way commercial property, homeowners and BOP writers price and underwrite fire risk.
The Little Book of Fires answer questions, like:
What percentage of fires occur in locations that have had a fire in the last 3 years? How about the last 10 years?
Which zip codes have the highest frequency of reported fires for restaurants, hotels and for manufacturing?
How have fire counts rebounded since the years impacted by the COVID pandemic, for 1-2 family homes and for commercial occupancies?
